I don’t know about you, but I am always on the lookout for new drugstore beauty products. I notice that as I am practicing social distancing and wearing a mask, I still like to look for beauty products that make me feel good.
So I decided I would share some favorite drugstore beauty products with you. I am always on the lookout for new products and things to make my daily beauty routine a little easier. All of these products I am mentioning in this list I have used and can recommend, therefore I want to pass them onto you.
Nyx Butter Gloss is a staple in my purse, and with drier summer and fall temperatures, this is the perfect situation to add Nyx Butter Gloss to your everyday drugstore beauty product stash. The description is very accurate, it certainly is “buttery” and it smells so yummy. I don’t know, almost like cotton candy. If you really like your lips super moisturized, then definitely try out this option.
If you don’t have time to wash your hair everyday, this is a great alternative to use on your hair in between washes. It smells great and helps keep hair from looking limp and greasy. I usually use this every 2 days as I only wash my hair about 3 to 4 times a week. My hair is so thick and if I get lazy and don’t blow dry my hair, it will take more than a day to dry completely. So Batiste Dry Shampoo works really well. Definitely a good drugstore beauty buy.
If you have dark under-eye bags, then this drugstore beauty buy called Instant Age Rewind Eraser is an absolute must. I only started using this a few years ago, and oh my! Where have you been??? Absolute game changer and a must have. You can also tell from the reviews on Amazon that people really like this product. I also use it to hide scars on my face as well. It works perfectly for that. What is also pretty cool, there are many different shades to color match your skin tone. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already.
If you haven’t heard yet, this is an awesome dupe to Too Faces, “Better Than Sex” Mascara. I have used both and to me personally, this mascara is almost identical and less than half the price. I already have pretty long eyelashes and with this mascara it just enhances them even more and makes them look so much longer. Also, when I am looking for a good mascara, I look for one that doesn’t clump and flake. This one works pretty darn well. So, if you’re looking to cut costs as opposed to buying a $25 mascara, then I would say this Voluminous Mascara by L’oreal is a great option.
In the current state of things, if your hands are dry from constantly washing them, then this is definitely an ointment you should try. I actually have a pharmacist friend who recommended this ointment because I told him my hands were so dry from washing them so much and he recommended Aquaphor. I do have to say, this works really well. My hands were dry and cracked, and within a few days this helped out tremendously. If you’re looking for something for dry skin, give Aquaphor a try.
Also, check out the reviews on Amazon. They speak for themselves. I’ve also listed another link to the Aquaphor Ointment Body Spray. This works as well as the Healing Ointment, but is better for covering larger areas as opposed to the ointment that is more suited for smaller applications. Both are really good drugstore beauty options.
If you’re looking for a good strong hairspray that doesn’t make your hair feel like straw, but holds really well, then I recommend Pantene Air Spray. I found this last year when I was getting married and it got me through my bridal shower, my girl’s bachelorette weekend, and wedding day. I don’t use hairspray everyday, but when I do, this is my go-to and it lasts quite awhile. I tend to break out when my scalp gets overly dry and this hairspray doesn’t do that to my scalp.
When this stuff says it’s waterproof, it means it! I couldn’t get it off without using eye makeup remover. Wet & Wild H20 Proof Liquid Liner is great if you are looking for something that is sweat proof or if you are going swimming. I recently found this and highly recommend you check it out to see what you think. It does have a hard applicator, so if you are used to a brush or something softer, please keep that in mind. But it does work well if you are looking for an eyeliner that is completely smudge proof.
Here is another great mascara option if you want to try something else new. I use this one on occasion and it works great. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara has a wand that bends slightly and can take a bit of getting used to, but it definitely gives your lashes volume, length and curl. Also, the clump factor isn’t bad. If you are looking for another mascara option without a heavy price tag , then try this one out next time you are looking for a drugstore beauty item.
If you love matte lipstick, then you’ll love this version from Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream. I was fortunate enough to get these two color combos from Nyx called California (where I am originally from). They have all kinds of different names for their lip creams. These are highly pigmented and last quite awhile. I usually throw on a lip gloss over this to add just a little bit of moisture, but it stays on even while I am eating and drinking.
Many people swear that Jergens Lavender Body Butter Moisturizer with Essential Oil is a replacement for Jergens BB Body Lotion, which was discontinued. What I find nice about Jergens Lavender Lotion, is it’s not greasy at all and feels so nice and soft. It adds just a little color, leaves somewhat of a blurring effect, and it has just a slight tinge of shine. I also think it has the right amount of lavender scent which is very calming and not overpowering. A definite drugstore beauty must have.
Using a dry conditioner is something somewhat new. It is an option rather than using a dry shampoo. Dove Dry Conditioner instantly refreshes, helps with oily hair, and leaves your hair super soft and tangle free. It also helps to control sweat and cut down on smell in between washes. It’s another good option if you want to try something else other than a dry shampoo. Both work really well.

These are all really good drugstore beauty products. There are many options to try if you’re looking for something new. I am always on the lookout to find new options, especially when they are cost effective and good quality products with lots of other reviews that I can read.
